Obituary of Dr. Brin D. Hawkins

Dr. Brin D. Hawkins was born February 1, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Renault and Nellie Hawkins.  She grew up in a loving family household and was blessed with one sibling – Renault (JR).  She had a very an incredibly special and devoted relationship with her brother JR.  Brin had a big heart and a kind, generous spirit, she enjoyed life, she cherished her friendships, she laughed often and made others do the same, she was caring and gifted.

Brin later relocated, and grew up in Washington, D.C.  She became a Professor in the School of Social Work at Howard University.  She was loved and respected and received many honors over the years.  She loved to entertain and host countless functions in the company of many devoted friends.  She enjoyed the Blues and Jazz music.

Brin will remain forever in our Hearts.  May she rest in peace in the loving arms of our LORD and Savior for eternity.
