Mrs Summers was one of my most influential teachers. She instilled a love of theater in all her actors, and we’re all proud to have been ‘her other’ kids

Lora Nell was a wonderful example of a teacher and a Christian. She loved to share her faith through drama and and stories of her life and mission opportunities. We know she is with Our Lord now. I feel so privileged to have known her these last 30+ years.

Dear Family of Lora Nell Summers, She was a wonderful Christian woman. I was glad that I knew her for 43+ years at St. Stephen’s. I recall the many bazaars we had in the Chapel, now the Welcome Center. We had to take out all the folding chairs and put in the tables for the bazaar items. Then after we held the bazaar, we had to put the folding chairs back in place for Sunday’s worship service. At the UMW general meetings, Lora Nell would put on her period costumes that she used in her classroom. She would make us all laugh with her many hats! Cherish the memories you made with her and talk about her often to keep her spirit alive in your hearts. She will be missed! She enjoyed life here on earth, but she is probably entertaining all the angels and St. Peter with her dramas. Much love in Christ, Jeanette and Ed Parham 703-323-5990 [email protected]
