Obituary of Anthony A. Orange

Anthony A. Orange, Jr. “Tony” born May 24, 1953, passed peacefully surrounded by his family on January 26th in Arlington, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Highway, in Falls Church Virginia. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 30th from 6:00 – 7:30 pm with a service directly following at 7:30pm. Interment will take place the following day at the Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Dunkirk, Maryland at 11:00am. Tony was well known as Animal Planets “Miracle Worker” for his amazing talent and training with dogs. Tony traveled all over the D.C. Metro area training dogs with behavior problems, basic puppy training, to aggressive and unruly dogs. This was his passion and life’s calling. Working with dogs and spending time with his grandchildren seemed to bring him joy and inner peace to which nothing could compare. Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Swan Orange of Burke, VA; his parents, Mary and Anthony Orange, Sr. of Suitland, MD and his sister Mary Smith of FL. He leaves behind a daughter, Michelle with her husband Bill Aldridge of Frederick, MD; a son, Steven with his wife Melissa Orange of Chesapeake Beach, MD; his grandchildren, Cassie, Mackenzie, Chance, and Emma; his sister, Millie and her husband, Dale Felts of Springfield, VA; his sister, Dottie and her husband, Bob Sale of Purcellville, VA; his sister, Joan and her husband, Ed Eckert of Pleasanton, CA and his sister, Patricia Toucheck of Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Capital Caring at the Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, 4715 15th Street North, Arlington, VA 22205 or Ragged Mountain Dog Rescue 1415 Netherlands Rd, Sperryville, VA 22740.
