Marquita was one of the best people I have ever known. She was Paul's niece, and that is how I met her. We immediately "clicked", and we adopted each other. She always made me laugh, and she would always call me "Auntie Betsy". She was a beautiful person....inside and outside! I will miss her so much. She loved to talk about her grandchildren and how fantastic they were. She made the world a better place, and I am so thankful Quita was in my life! Love you girl so much!

Marquita has been a dear friend for over 40 years. She was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I knew. For the past 10 years, we've lived a distance apart, but that never interfered with our monthly get togethers at a location half way between us. She will be sorely missed but I know she's at home with your mother and the Lord.

We came to know Marquita through the marriage of her son, Jim, to our sister Olivia. From that blessed event came the additional blessing of getting to know Marquita over the years and the subsequent friendship that developed from that. Marquita was a generous soul with an outgoing spirit, an unshakable faith, and she was also a gifted conversationalist. Those who were lucky enough to befriend her, including us, had their lives enriched through knowing her. She will be missed! May her memory be eternal!

Marquita was a good friend and a real blessing to me when I first moved to VA. I am so glad we got to visit last September. I will remember it always.

Marquita was one of the very best people I have ever known. I was so privileged to have her in my life. She was loving, caring and so funny. I will miss our telephone conversations so much, where we laughed so much over such silly things. She was Paul's niece, but she adopted me as her "Auntie", and for that, I will be forever grateful. I love her and she will always occupy a bit of my heart, as she made me a better person because she loved me and believed in me! I am happy to know she is not in pain any longer. She was THE best!
