Obituary of Helene Ann Mastrosimone

Helene passed away peacefully at home on November 10th surrounded by family after a long illness.

Helene was born on November 15, 1948 in Long Island City, New York. She grew up in Garden City and Southold, NY; and later resided in Montclair and Morristown, NJ. Her final residence was in McLean, VA.

Helene graduated from Garden City High School and Harcum College. She spent her last decade dedicated to serving women in recovery at Mrs. Wilson’s Treatment Center for Women in Morristown, New Jersey. Helene enjoyed the beach, dancing, and caring for her nieces, nephews and grandchildren. 

Helene is survived by her children Michael Lamb (Frances) and Kathleen Lamb (David); grandchildren, Jeffrey Maher, Katherine Maher and River Lamb Zodda; siblings Dianne Sheehan (John) and Christopher Molloy (Eleanor); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Mastrosimone, parents James T. Molloy and Margaret Molloy; and siblings James Molloy, Margaret Price, and Maureen Colitre.

Her family thanks everyone who cared for and supported Helene over the past year. A memorial service will be held in New Jersey in early spring.
