Obituary of James Dowdy

James Dowdy 64, of Falls Church, VA passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2023.  He was born July 22, 1959 to the late Harry Quinn and Mary Dowdy of Casanova, VA. 

He worked in the furniture and home repair business He was an avid bowler and fan of the Washington Commanders football and Duke basketball.

He is survived by his son James Dowdy, Jr., his daughter Stephanie Elkins, significant other Antionette Lansdown, sister Joyce Carter, brother Matthew Dowdy, grandchildren Rassan McGuire, Brielle Jefferson and Dominic Ayala and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
