Nancy and I were room mates at James Madison College back in the days when proper young ladies weren't allowed to have fun...at least that's the way the college dorm mothers made us feel. I recall our feeble attempt to conceal alcohol in mouthwash bottles and then panic and flush it away when we heard the dorm mother would be doing room inspections. Then there was a Valentines day we spent laughing while wearing the fancy boxer shorts we crafted with big red hearts for our boy friends. We put them on and danced round the room. Nancy and I studied hard but managed to have fun...created our own good times and a good friendship....after graduation we spoke often about our schools, classes and teaching experiences even after I moved to Florida. I will miss our chats and reminiscing with my friend. She was such a warm and wonderful lady....I am so sorry for your loss.
On September 18, 2021 over 100 people celebrated Nancy's life at Capital Baptist Church in Annandale, Virginia.
