I met Suzy in the 7th grade at Alice Deal Jr High - She always had such varied interests, from complex mathematics and literature to a joyous appreciation of nature, cats, cooking and music. She could converse on just about any topic and always seemed to have a brilliant quip in her pocket that would bring a smile to one's face. Thoughtful and generous of heart, Suzy seemed to know when those around her needed a hug, sending hearts by text and care packages with cookies and homemade truffles. I was fortunate to have her friendship and Suzy was part of my daily life. I have been missing her terribly, and feel a big hole in my heart. I hope that I can learn from Suzy and carry on her gracious way of taking time out to think of others.

Leslie and I shared several years of school together. At Lafayette, Deal and Wilson. We reconnected when our reunion planning group was building a list of students for the Wilson 40th reunion. We may have had lunch once with other classmates but it was our Facebook connection that I will miss so very much. Her wit, humor and sensitive kindness will be missed so very much as will her culinary delights enjoyed by so many. Thank you Suzy for all the chuckles and wonderful things you gave to others.
This was her Senior class yearbook photo. I am sure she had words to say about it but it is beautiful.

Suzy was a regular, enthusiastic participant in the weekly Music & Melodies sing-along for the past 3 years, and we will truly miss her cheery presence, not to mention the fabulous dark chocolate truffles she contributed each time we met in someone's home. One of Suzy's favorite song requests was "Someone to Watch Over Me," and I like to think she will be watching over us now, smiling, as we sing. She will certainly be with us in spirit.
