Obituary of Elias Micah Thorson

Elias Micah Thorson, 16 passed away on June 4th inFairfax, VA after a courageous battle with Osteosarcoma.  He was an old soul with a beautifully creative mind.  He was a trailblazer by becoming the first young adult in Virginia to receive Radium 223; paving the way for pediatric cancer patients to receive this life changing treatment in the future.  Elias will be remembered for his kind heart, great sense of humor, and generous spirit. He enjoyed science, was an avid reader, loved video games, music, and Garfield comics.  Elias was born in Tucson, AZ on January 17th 2005 and is survived by his mother, Lisa Mohr and father, Eric Thorson and extended family throughout the United States.  A funeral mass will be held on June 26th at 11:30AM at St. James Catholic Church in Falls Church.  

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society. Elias will forever be loved and missed.
