Obituary of Patrick Sean Hannigan

Patrick Sean Hannigan passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013. He was born in Alexandria, VA, on February 14, 1958, the son of Jo Ann Graham of Lopez Island, WA, and the late Joseph F. Hannigan of Springfield, VA. He was also preceded in death by his step father Phillip H. Graham. Patrick was a long time resident of Springfield, VA. He was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Alexandria and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, and cooking. He loved his family and his friends. Patrick is survived by his daughter Megan Hevner of Tampa, FL; his mother Jo Ann Graham; his brother Michael Hannigan and wife Julie of Falls Church; his sister Kathy Trayers, husband Joe, and their son Nicholas of Springfield. He is also survived by uncles and several cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, at Advent Funeral Home, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, between 2 and 4 PM and 6 and 8 PM. Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 6222 Franconia Road, Springfield, at 10:30 AM, immediately followed by internment at Mt. Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 615 Slaters Lane, Alexandria, VA 22313.
