Hello Alison, Paul & Tom. My deepest sympathies to you all. I remember your dad from as far back as my childhood, both from Blessed Sacrament and his friendship with my parents, who thought so much of him and your mom. Such a good, kind and intelligent man. He always seemed so physically imposing to me then, him being so tall, but even at that young age, I recognized the gentility that belied his stature. I know how you are grieving, but he’s reunited with your beloved mom now and I hope that brings some comfort. She was wise to choose him over Joe Paterno.

One of the best obituaries! Although painful to read; Art was so powerfully spiritual that the light within him radiated joy and hope, in spite of more than normal trials and tribulations. His leadership tn the Charismatic prayer group at BSCC, and as head of the Parish Council, training of lectors (Art fired me as a lector – for good reason, I might add), Eucharistic Ministry, Lector extraordinaire, song leader (maybe the first one after the Vatican II liturgy reform); oh so many ways did this great man strengthen my faith! Love you, Art. Dan
