Obituary of Sharon Lee Iglesias

Sharon Lee Iglesias passed away peacefully at her home in Ashburn, VA on Thursday, December 5, 2013 after an eight year battle with breast cancer. Sharon was born on September 12, 1957 in Washington, DC to George and Sylvia Bachman. She was married to Angelo Anthony Iglesias for 28 years and is survived by her two sons: Joseph Anthony Iglesias and Alexander Andrew Iglesias, both of Ashburn, VA; her parents George U. Bachman and Sylvia A. Bachman of Hughesville, MD; her brother Michael Bachman of Nanjemoy, MD; and numerous, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Lori Jean Bachman. She will be missed by her many friends, neighbors, and co-workers. Sharon formerly worked for the US Department of Defense and most recently was a Teacher Assistant in the Loudoun County Public School System. Sharon was a part-time Independent Product Consultant for doTERRA Essential Oils. She was a Sunday school teacher at Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church in Ashburn, VA and was a Breast Cancer support volunteer for Y-Me and the Step Sisters of Brambleton, VA. She was extremely creative and was an excellent artist. She loved to travel and visited many parts of the United States and Europe. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13, from 4-6PM and 7-9 PM at Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church, 43115 Waxpool Road, Ashburn, VA 20148. The Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, also at Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Our Savior’s Way Lutheran Church or the Step Sisters (http://www.stepsisters.org).
