Obituary of Claude C.C. Cumberbatch

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2013 surrounded by his loving family in New Carrollton, Maryland in his 91st year. He is survived by his loving wife Mary [Dottie] (nee Katchay), daughter Rozanna and her husband Donahue (Aitcheson), and grand-daughter Gabriella Aitcheson. He will be sadly missed by his brothers Frank Cumberbatch (Ohio, U.S.A.) and Alwyn Cumberbatch (Ontario, Canada) and his wife, Daphne. A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Advent Funeral & Cremations Services, 9013 Annapolis Rd., Lanham, Md.,20706. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013, at 11:00AM at St. Matthias the Apostle Catholic Church 9475 Annapolis Rd, Lanham, MD 20706, (301) 459-4814. A viewing will be held previous to the mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at a later date at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations for a scholarship fund to be established at the Academy of St. Matthias School, 9475 Annapolis Road, Lanham, MD. 20706.
