Obituary of Blanche Beatrice McLaughlin Riggs

Passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014. Blanche Beatrice McLaughlin was born November 28, 1925 in Washington, D.C.. She was married from 1947 to 1954 (ended in divorce) to Richard Seward (deceased). She had two children by that marriage: Gwynne Seward of Fairfax, Va and Duane Seward of Gainesville, Va. In 1954, she married Martin Riggs (deceased) which ended in divorce and had four children: Myla Riggs of Arlington, Va, Martin Riggs of Arlington, Va, Paul Riggs (and his wife) Robin Riggs of Fredericksburg, Va and Joseph Riggs of Arlington, Va. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren. Blanche worked for the Pentagon, Bureau of Indian Affairs, the George Washington Medical Library and Arlington County. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and traveling. Services and interment private.
