Another comment describes reading Idols for Destruction and being prompted to google the author. I did the same thing and I can only echo the earlier comment and give thanks to God for Dr. Schlossberg's faithful use of his gifts and talents.

18 July 2019 I was reading last night Herb’s book:”Idols for Destruction”, on chapter: “Idols of Nature”-that I thought to myself, “How is Herb doing now?” after all those 30 years I have kept his book & still munching every bit of gold nuggets of theological insight I discover on almost all of the pages of his book especially, “on the chapter, The Idols of History”. And so I decided to google on him & this is where I landed. My tribute might be a bit late yet I would not want to miss the opportunity to express my gratitude to him and to our LORD. To you Brother Herb, thank GOD for using you to help us understand the claims of competing (antichristian) worldviews and how to assess and engage them through the Biblical principles, doctrines and worldview. I wanted you to know that even on this side of the world in Southeast Asia (Manila, Philippines) you did touch lives and inspired us (like me & others) to use the WORD of GOD to fight ferociously against the tide of humanism. “Salamat po Panginoon” (Thank you Lord) for gifting us a god-fearing man like Herbert Schlossberg. May you rest in peace in the eternal abode of the Father-brother. Thank you Rodolfo. – Herb’s family
