Obituary of Christopher Balik

Christopher Balik, 32, of Falls Church, VA, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2014 after a long illness. Chris was born in Stratford, NJ on January 23, 1982, the loving son of Susan (Egan) and Jeffrey Balik. Christopher graduated from Warren Hills High School in Washington, NJ in 2000 and was a member of the track & wrestling teams. Chris was a member of the Bergen County Middle School Chorus. He loved being on stage and performed in multiple High School and local town plays. He was an avid reader and never without a book. Chris loved the outdoors and spent much time camping with friends. Christopher is predeceased by his grandparents Iris and Thomas Egan of Paramus, NJ and Domicella and George Balik, Jr. of Bayonne, NJ. Christopher is survived by his parents, Susan and Jeffrey Balik of Basking Ridge, NJ; two sisters, Jessica Balik of Eureka, MO and Colleen Balik of Goldsboro, NC; He is also survived by one nephew, Matthew Balik of Eureka, MO as well as an Aunt and Uncle, Clara and Donald Helbringer of Ashburn, VA. A private memorial service will be held in NJ for the family.
