Obituary of Ronald Paul Burd

Ronald Paul Burd passed away on April 13, 2014 from complications from surgery. Born February 27, 1963 to Roger and the late Sandra Burd, he is the beloved father of Alex Burd and George Burd, both of Fairfax, VA. He is also survived by his sister, Teri Sears-Tilson, of Falls Church, and his former wives, Mitzie Morgan and Nicki Harris. Ron was proud to say he grew up as an “Army Brat” before volunteering himself. While serving 3 years in the Army, he was stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA, Ft. Hood, TX and in Turkey. He worked as a Distributor for The Washington Post for over 25 years and was an avid Redskins and Nationals fan. Friends received 2:00-6:00PM Monday, April 21 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 8304 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield VA 22152 where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00AM. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Burd Family Memorial Fund at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
