Obituary of Katy Chou

Katy Li-Hwei Chou, 66, of North Bethesda, Maryland, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and loved ones on the morning of April 27, 2014, due to complications from pneumonia. Katy was born on May 7, 1947 in Keelung City, Taiwan. She is survived by her sons, Ben and Larry; grandchildren, Alexis and Joshua; along with her sister Julie Lee and three brothers, Stephen Chang, Chung-Ying Chang, and Thomas Chang. She was a loving mother and grandmother who doted especially on her grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She immigrated to the United States in 1972 to pursue her Master’s Degree. She eventually started her own successful government contracting company, C-Base Solutions. She was an active member of the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church of Washington and the Greater Washington Taiwanese Chorus. She will be missed and remembered forever. Visitation for Katy will be held at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22046, (703) 241-7402. on Friday, May 2nd from 5-8 PM. Her funeral service will be held at the Taiwanese Presbyterian Church of Washington, 7410 Needwood Road Derwood, MD 20855 on Satuday, May 3rd at 10 AM, with a reception immediately following the service. Interment private.
