Obituary of Lois Holmgren Winston

Lois Holmgren Winston (92) on Wednesday, August 13, 2014. Lois passed from this life at Iliff Nursing Home after a short illness. She was born in Chicago to Robert N. Holmgren and Judith B. Holmgren on July 27, 1922, and moved to Washington D. C. as a child. She was the dear wife of William Roy Winston, Jr. for sixty-six years, devoted mother of Susan Winston Gray, loving grandmother to Robert Luke and Timothy Luke, and adoring great-grandmother of Gavin, Emma, Maddox and Katelyn. She was a longtime member of Columbia Baptist Church in Falls Church where the memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ”The Columbia Foundation CIFA Scholarship Fund,” 103 W. Columbia Street, Falls Church, VA 22046.
