Obituary of Marianne Jane Robinson

Marianne Jane Robinson passed peacefully on August 17, 2014. She is survived by her son, Thomas Robinson; her daughter, Marcia Wolf; her two granddaughters, Heather and Leanna; her great grandchildren, Ronnie, Raven, and Brenna. She enjoyed a good life, living first in Torrington, Connecticut, then Albuquerque, New Mexico, then in Lanham, Maryland for the last 55 years. Marianne enjoyed a successful career in the Federal government from 1957 until her retirement in 1988. One of her favorite experiences was working at the White House under President Jimmy Carter. She joined the Leisure Club of St. Matthias Church. She traveled extensively with the club and participated in many activities. Beginning in 2012, her health began to interfere with her ability to enjoy life the way she wanted. Throughout her life, Marianne enjoyed life and took advantage of the many opportunities within the community. She will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Advent Funeral Home, 9013 Annapolis Road, Lanham, Maryland.
