Young Morales

Obituary of Young Ja Morales

Young Ja Morales (nee Choi), 72, with family by her side, passed away on August 24, 2014 at her home in Arlington, VA. She is survived by her daughter, Michelle. Young was born in South Korea on October 24, 1941 and moved to the U.S. in the late 60s where she later became a naturalized citizen, a fact she was most proud of. She was a vivacious, kind, and generous soul who loved her friends and family and immensely enjoyed helping others. She lived life to the fullest and loved to brighten someone’s day. In her apartment complex, she was known as “The Candy Lady” because she would always give candy to everyone she encountered whenever she left her apartment. She was truly loved by all who got to know her and she will be missed dearly. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30pm on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Advent Funeral Services. A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the ASPCA, a charity that was very dear to Young’s heart. ASPCA , PO Box 96929, Washington, DC 20090-6929. Information about sending memorial gifts can be found on the ASPCA website: https://www.aspca.org/secure/memorial?ms=wb_sub_donate-20130709&initialms=wb_sub_donate-20130709
