Obituary of Marguerite McCormick

Marguerite “Peggy” McCormick (née Martin) died on October 30, 2014, at the age of 68. She was surrounded by family and passed peacefully with dignity and grace. Peggy wanted more for others than for herself and she will be remembered for her generous spirit and kind heart. Raised in Red Bank, NJ, Peggy most recently lived in Germantown, MD. Peggy is survived by her sister Maureen Strong of Santa Barbara, CA, children Kelly McCormick (Kevin Stephens) of McLean, VA and Daniel McCormick of Chicago, IL, and grandson Cormac Stephens. Services will be held at Advent Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA on Friday, November 21, 2014 – visitation will be from 1pm-3pm with a memorial service to begin at 3pm. A reception will follow. Family and close friends are invited to assemble at Columbia Gardens Cemetery on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of Homeless Animals animal shelter in Northern Virginia.
