Obituary of Donna L. Faught

Donna Jean Laper Faught was born June 14, 1930 to Roxie L. Scott and Harry George Laper in Wooster. She is a graduate of Wooster H.S. and the University of Ohio. She received a Masters of Business Education from James Madison University and Doctoral work (ABD) at Virginia Tech. Donna taught throughout her life starting with Drivers Ed. at the local AAA Club with her mother, Roxie, who was the manager for several years. As an Army wife to COL William Flener Faught for 25 years, she was director of Ft. Shafter preschool in Honolulu, Hawaii, taught soldiers at Ft. Bragg, NC, and she taught at Hayfield H.S. in Virginia. After her retirement, she continued as a substitute teacher in the Durham and Chapel Hill, NC and Bradenton, FL school systems. Donna is survived by her children COL(Ret) Scott and (Barbara) Faught, Woodbridge, VA, Cheri Roxanne and (Jim) Cobren, Alexandria, VA, and Megan and (John) Langley, Lilburn, GA, and seven grandchildren; Jonathan Faught, Daytona Beach, FL, Ginger, Craig, and Derek Cobren, Alexandria, VA, and Chris, Anna, and Drew Langley, Lilburn, GA. After a brief illness, Donna went peacefully to be with the Lord, March 1, 2011 and will be interred in the family plot at Wooster Cemetery in a private service.
