I just learned of Carol’s passing. My first husband (Ed Kritzer) and I lived across from Carol and Larry on Starr Jordan Dr when the houses there were first built. I don’t think she ever knew how much her neighborly friendship contributed to my well-being. She was the neighbor you are lucky to have once in a lifetime!

I’ve been around Carol for so many years — I think since 1961 when my family moved to Woods of Ilda in Fairfax, VA. I first remember her as the lady who lived down the street from my best friend Nancy Parry, then as the mom of John and Jim. In 1963 both our families joined Providence Presbyterian Church and when I got older we sang in the church choir together. Then she introduced her nephew, David, to my sister Pam. They married. So she’s been in my life for a long long time. I can’t think of her without a smiling face. She was always so enthusiastic and ready to go! I’ll really miss her.
