Obituary of Josette Hawkes Sills

JOSETTE HAWKES SILLS A resident of Vienna, VA for the past 32 years, passed away peacefully at her home on February 26, 2012, after a long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jim; her daughter, Holly Meadows; grandchildren, Bryan and Alyssa Meadows. Also survived by her sister, Peggy and brothers, Mike, William and Robert Hawkes. She is predeceased by her father, Richard; mother, Jeannine and sister, Vivian Hawkes. Friends may visit at Advent Funeral Services, 7211 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA on Tuesday, February 28 from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held at the Old Historic Church of The Falls Church, 115 E. Fairfax St, Falls Church, VA 22046 on February 29 at 2pm. In her own words, Josette said “I just want to be remembered for who I was and what I did in life. I loved my life and I loved the people and children around me. If I made one little difference in one single person’s life then it was all worth it. I love you all.”
