Obituary of Luis Manuel Baez

Luis M. Baez Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, Luis Baez of Arlington, VA, was 82 when he passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 28. He was a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army before working as a naval architect for the U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Navy, and the private firm Designers & Planners, designing ships used in the defense of our nation. He is survived by Viola, his wife of 57 years, his children, Socorrito and Luis, and their families. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4329 Sano St., Alexandria, VA at 1pm Saturday, March 3rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Capital Caring, 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042.
