Obituary of Gerhard G. Vogele

Gerhard G. Vogele December 13, 1939 – March 5, 2012 Gerhard passed away peacefully in his home on March 5. He is survived by his wife, Inge; his son, Michael; and his daughter-in-law, Maria. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Ava, Elise, and Gabriela. Gerhard came to the United States from Germany in 1958. Once here, he started a successful printing business that allowed him to pursue his passion for piloting his own plane to various vacation destinations. He married Inge in 1974 and together with their son, Michael, they enjoyed discovering North America by camper. In his last years Gerhard enjoyed more travel, reading, and visiting with his grandchildren. A gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, March 11 at Advent Funeral Services in Falls Church, VA from 1pm to 3pm with a memorial beginning at 2pm. Contributions may be made in Gerhard’s memory to the American Heart Association.
