Mary was special to us. It brings tears to my eyes to hear of her departure. Mary was my MS fundraiser biking parter for several years. My heart felt sympathy to Stephen and the Norton family. I know we will meet again as promised by Christ.

Mary was the most loveable and compassionate person to whomever she met. I met Mary at the HUD Fitness Center. Mary motivated me to work out eventually to 4 days a week. Mary’s spirit was so sweet and you would want to come to the gym. At that time I was very heavy…and we started out lifting one leg at a time…she started me with working with weights…and then getting me to do things that I would never have done without her “on hands approach”. Mary and I became friends. I was so heartbroken when she left HUD. Mary spoke so lovingly of her Mom and their shopping trips together. How her mom would buy her new outfits…we both loved to shop. We talked about her love for family…..and then when little Edwin was born…WOW…that was such a joy. My prayers are with Steven, who Mary adored and all her family.

Mary was special. She taught me much while at HUD and she did so with a smile. I will always remember Mary fondly. My deepest sympathy.

My prayers go out to Steve and all of Mary Wegener’s family: I met Mary when she was Program Mgr with L&T fitness for the Dept of HUD. Her personality was engaging and focused. Mary would give everyone the respect of a one on one audience and was always fully engaged with people. If she had a bad day no one knew it! She was just someone with a great personality and a good spirit. I enjoyed the “cookouts” with Mary and Steve and “little” Edwin. You stay strong Steve…Mary would have wanted that.

Dear Steve, Edwin and all of Mary’s family: I know you all have lots of wonderful memories to help you through this time, however, take comfort in the fact that Mary is no longer suffering or in pain. She is in Paradise with her Father. Amiee and Bob Coffey

My thoughts and prayers are with the Wegener family. I supervised Mary when she worked for L&T Health and Fitness at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Fitness Center. While at HUD, she touched so many lives there. Not only did she teach dynamite group exercise classes, but she cared so much about her members and helping them lead healthier lives. She will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out to the family of Mary Wegener. I met Mary close to 15 years ago working at L & T fitness. She was very instrumental with my early entry into the workforce. I will forever remember sharing step aerobics and strength training classes with her. Her magnetic personality and soft innocent voice will always be remembered.
May God give you the strength.
