Obituary of John Francis Mazor

John Francis Mazor, 64 of Ashburn, Va passed away July 5, 2012 in Fairfax, Va. John was a native of Washington, DC and raised in District Heights by his now deceased parents Joseph and Josephine Mazor. He attended John’s Hopkins University and the University of Maryland and had multiple degree’s in journalism and psychology. He retired from the Airline Pilots Association after over 30 years as a Sr. Communication Specialist, and was well respected by his colleges and considered them as family. John enjoyed participating in political discussions, studying World War II, and photography. In his early years of life John worked for the Washington Post as a journalist and with the Mortgage Bankers Association. John is survived by his wife Betty Mazor, son Brian Mazor of Ashburn, Va, daughters Kathleen Mazor of Raleigh, NC and Patricia Mazor of Ashburn, VA, brother’s Marc Mazor of Clinton, MD and Mike Mazor of Delray Beach, FL and grandchildren, Andrew and Kaitlyn Mazor. Visitation will be held at Advent Funeral Home at 7211 Lee Highway Falls Church, Va 22046 on July 9, 2012 at 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
