Obituary of Washington Wong

Washington, or Wash as his friends called him, quietly passed away in his sleep early in the morning of July 6, 2012. Wash was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. He served in the US military before starting a long career spanning over 45 years with the government. Upon retiring, Wash had achieved the highest-ranking grade possible. He loved his job and was well respected by everyone who knew him. Wash married the love of his life, Felicia, and remained with her for over 52 years. He is survived by his loving wife, 3 sons, and 6 grandchildren. Although colon cancer shortened his life, he achieved many great things. He will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew him. If you have any memories, thoughts or stories to share about Wash, we would love to hear from you. Please add your name and a short message to the Guest Book at the American Cancer Society Memorial Web-page that we’ve created for him. This page also contains information about the Memorial Service planned for Wash on July 28th. Here is the web-address for the Memorial Page: http://bit.ly/washwong Later this year, as part of his proud wishes, he will be privately inurned at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium.
