Ken was born on April 19, 1948 in Washington D.C. and grew up in the Huntington area of Alexandria. His boyhood home is still in there today. He was the son of James and Rosalie Carroll. Ken graduated from Thomas Edison HS and continued his education at VA Tech and graduated in 1970 with a degree in the social sciences. Ken is survived by his three adult children from his first marriage – Mark, Theresa, and Stephanie and his stepson, Tyler. After his retirement from USPS he went to work for the Fairfax County government and left there in 2011. Ken and Lisa have lived in Vienna since 2003. In his leisure time, Ken enjoyed sailing, especially on the Chesapeake Bay, riding his motorcycle, model trains, and most of all playing with his three grandsons.
