Obituary of Bertha Alice Getts

Bertha Alice Getts, of Annandale , VA, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Wife of the late Franklin W. Getts, mother of Bonnie Seay of Fredericksburg and her fiance, Everett McWhirt, Jr., Allen B. Getts of Warsaw and his fiance Tayna Bayliss James Franklin Getts of Annandale and the late John David Getts. Also survived by her daughter in law, Rosa Maria Getts of Annandale, her grandchildren Christina Martinez of Fredericksburg and her fiance Mike Futrell and Duane Seay of Fredericksburg, her step-grandchildren Fabiana, Lorena and Daniela, her great grandchildren Emilie and George Seay and her faithful companion, Toby. Bertha graduated from Central Square High School in 1948, she married on November 24, 1950 and became a loving wife, homemaker and mother all while providing childcare to friends and neighbors children. She passed away from acute renal and congestive heart failure at Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center part of Capital Caring in Arlington, VA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Advent Funeral Chapel at 1 PM with interment to follow at Arlington National Cemetery at 3 PM.
