Obituary of Sandra Sue Burd

Born to Bert and Elizabeth Dame on September 18 1943, in Lebanon, Missouri. She lived most of her adult life in the Northern Virginia Area, and was last employed as bookkeeper, for the Southeastern District of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod, in Alexandria,VA. Her father and mother and two step fathers Carl Harrill, and Wayne Polly preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 50 plus years, Roger of Alexandria, one brother Paul Harrill, (Patti) of Rogers AR, one son Ronald Burd of Chantilly, VA, a daughter Teri Sears-Tilson (Darrell) of Falls Church, VA. Three grandsons Michael, Alex, and George. One granddaughter Michelle, two step granddaughters, Amber and Kammio, one step grandson, Cullen, and one great granddaughter, Dakota. She followed her husband on various military assignments, both stateside and overseas. A viewing will take place on 23 January at Prince of Peace Lutheran, 8304 Old Keene Mill Rd, Springfield, VA. 22152, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Wednesday 23 January, Funeral service will be conducted at 1100, AM on Thursday 24 January At Prince of Peace, Interment will take place at a later date, at Arlington National Cemetery. Family requests that in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Memorial Fund.
