Obituary of Frances M. Yost

Frances Mick Yost, 82, died peacefully at Winchester Health Center, Winchester, Va. on Apr. 8, 2023.  She was born in Baltimore, Md. on Dec. 25, 1940. Fran spent her early years in Frederick County and Washington County, Md., and graduated from Boonsboro High School. She attended Frostburg State College, and earned a nursing degree at Baltimore City Hospital.  She worked for many years at Wilson Health Care Center at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, Md.  

Fran loved cooking, baking, gardening, and reading mysteries, and was a superb hostess.  She excelled at decorating and creating beautiful spaces. 

Fran was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Catherine Joy Mick and her twin sister, Eleanor Dillon Brannan.   She leaves behind to mourn her passing; daughter Suzonn Ahmadian Malek and husband Tom; daughter Shereen Ahmadian Shahegh and husband Yousef; son Jahon Ali Ahmadian and partner Kathy Pulse; son Amir Ali Ahmadian and wife Lani; and sisters Roberta Barrett and Rachael Mick.  She also leaves seven grandchildren:  Ashley Cornell, Bethany Ellis, Tommy Malek, Alex Kendrick,  Pasha and Jahon Shahegh, and Justin Ahmadian, as well as six great-grandchildren; Samantha and Emily Cornell, Saroya Towns, Brennan and Brycen Ellis and Brody Hart.
