Obituary of Tyler Suiters
Tyler Paige Suiters, 53, died peacefully at his Arlington home on January 24 after a brave battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
Born in 1969 in Ft. Myer, VA, Tyler graduated from St. Stephens School in Alexandria, VA, and Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA.
Tyler spent his career traveling the world as a broadcast journalist and strategic communications executive.
He previously served as junior warden at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Arlington, Virginia, was the secretary/treasurer of the Consumer Technology Association Foundation, and volunteered with Offender Aid and Restoration.
He is survived by his wife Caryn, his daughter Sloane, his mother Diane (Howard) Melton, his father Larry T. (Gail) Suiters, a brother Mike (Katie) Suiters, nephew Lincoln Tyler Suiters and his beloved Golden Retriever Eowyn.
Services will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Arlington, with a reception for friends and family to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Healey Center for ALS.
"The family asks that anyone with pictures and memories of Tyler to bring copies of the photos to the reception, to be placed in a book for the family. Notecards will also be available to write notes of remembrance."
