Obituary of Edwina Cecelia Lester

Edwina “Sissy” Maynard Lester was born December 24, 1942 to the late Theodore Maynard and Elsie Dorsey Maynard in Capitol Heights, Maryland.  She was youngest of five children.  At age 79, in Lanham, Maryland she passed away peacefully on Monday, August 8, 2022 from natural causes.

Edwina retired from the Department of Agriculture after 42 years of service.

Edwina enjoyed spending time with family and friends on special occasions.

Edwina leaves to cherish her memories, one daughter, Angela Lester; two grandchildren, Marcus Jackson (Rinata) and Marcia Brown (DeShawn); five great-grandchildren; and one sister Gloria Maynard; and a host of relatives and friends.
