Condolences to the entire and extended Soroko Family from nephew Charles, wife Jeanne and the families of daughters Michelle and Janine. Uncle Ray was truly a special man and we will all surely miss him. As the Patriarch of our family he took care of all of us in some special way. The Polinko’s are especially grateful for the love and care he had for our Mom, his sister Anastasia.

On a snowy night in 1954, Ray & Betty entered my life. They were to move into their new house on 31 St., but it was snowing, slippery & late, so their furniture did not arive. So they spent their 1st night on 31st St, sleeping in our living room on a sleep sofa. Ever since that night they were important people to me & my family.i cant begin to share all the wonderful, kind things Ray did for us. The Washington Post called him "Good Neighbor Ray" in an article written about him. I never heard him say a mean thing about anyone. He told great stories. He sponsored a boys softball team and never missed a game! I feel blessed to have known such a great man.
