I met Karen at the gym. Karen was a truly special individual who had a great sense of humor, beautiful smiles and precious laughter. She is missed and treasured forever. Loved her gardening tips. Loved hearing stories of Kitty Cleo,j her family and friends. Your friend, G

My deepest sympathy to all affected by this sad loss.
I first met Karen in 1969, when we both worked at a western steak house at Lee-Harrison shopping center. Several years later she stayed at my home in Denver while visiting Colorado.
I last texted her in December, something about art. It was fun to reconnect with her after an extended absence.
Growing up in the late 60s/early 70s was quite an experience, made better by Karen's fun nature and consideration of others. I have many wonderful memories of that time.
She never told me of her illness, and I was stunned to hear the news. She remains in our hearts, always.

We were neighbors with Karen and our children have always enjoyed her decorated front garden. She always had such beautiful decorations. She was so thoughtful with her Halloween treats and it was always a highlight to visit her house on Halloween. We will miss her.

Karen told me that this was her favourite photo of herself, 1970’s. So much gorgeous hair!! I tremendously enjoyed photos of her Kitty Cleo paintings, vacations, flowers, gardens, and Halloween & Christmas decorations. She managed to greatly comfort me during two major shifts in my life, the last only about six months ago. I will miss her dearly. Harry, again, my sincere condolences.

Although Karen and I went to the same elementary, junior high and high school, we became friends in the 1970s. She was great company, even with her goofy dog, Wilbur, by her side. There were many parties and small gatherings, not to mention some concerts, all enhanced by her friendly smile. We will miss you dearly. Rest in peace, Karen.
