Obituary of Nancy Lansing

Nancy Laura Lansing of Burke, Virginia passed to the loving arms of her Lord & Savior Jesus Saturday November 13, 2021. She was unable to overcome the effects of COVID pneumonia.  She is survived her husband Rob and daughter Allyson, mother Lorraine Lutz and sister Karen Santone (Louis).  Other relatives include:  Aunts, several cousins, Brother and Sister in-laws, and Nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Father, Grandparents, and several Aunts and Uncles.

Nancy Lansing was born August 24, 1970 in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania   She graduated from Wyoming Area High School and went on to obtain an associate degree in early childhood development from Luzerne County Community College in 1992. She subsequently moved to the Northern Virginia area to seek employment and be close to her sister.  It was here she joined Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and later met and married her husband Rob.  In the Fall of 2013, they welcomed Allyson Marie into their lives. It was Allyson that gave Nancy her greatest joy in being a mother, in addition to that of a wife.

Nancy was a wholehearted member of Prince of Peace and truly enjoyed the Women’s weekly bible studies to the point of joining online from wherever she was - be it home or hospital. She was also a strong supporter of the Sunday School and served as an assistant as she was able.  Before devoting herself full-time to Allyson and her school, she served as a medical receptionist and later as a Preschool assistant for Truro Preschool in Fairfax and Living Savior Preschool also in Fairfax.

Nancy lived out her faith always -  ready share the good news of Jesus with everyone she met, despite any setbacks she encountered whether physical or otherwise she would not let this dim the light of Christ that shined with in her.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
