Some months ago, upon hearing of your father’s death, I sent a letter to Gay, to try and reconnect, after many years. I didn’t hear back, and was beginning to wonder if she was okay… and then found this obituary online. I am truly sorry and saddened that your amazing mother is no longer with us, though I am sure her spirit lives on, in each one of you. I know that I will carry many fun and happy memories of Gay, forever. Our friendship started in Sapporo, where we were both young mothers and our husbands worked together at the U.S. Consulate. Then, we were neighbors in Falls Church, VA, where our daughter Andra went to Shrevewood Elementary School. We reconnected again in Tokyo in the ‘90’s, and every time we returned to the U.S., having a gab fest with Gay was one of the highlights! I saw each of you as babies, and witnessed her devotion to each of you and her joy in being your mother. Gay was a true friend and I will miss her always. Adrienne (& Don) Westmore, Germantown, NY

Gay was a beautiful spirit!. She gave so much of herself and her time to food distribution at St. James and she will be dearly missed by all of us who worked with her. With my prayers and deepest sympathy, Barbara Hannigan

Dear Daniel, Victoria, Lydia, and Nathan,
My condolences to all of you.
I had the privilege to work with your Mom for about 15 years as part of the Friday Food Distribution for St. James. She worked with Janet Qualters and many volunteers to keep Food Distribution an ongoing ministry to help serve the needy within the community.
We will do our best to keep her spirit alive as we continue with Food Distribution. Big shoes to fill!
I am sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Amy B. Steinbicker

Dear Fantozzi Family,
How sorry I am to hear so late of the death pf your dear mother, such a short time after losing your dear father. I worked with your dad on the Fair Trade committee at St. Charles and he always had many astute suggestions. It was special when your mom joined us for our sales and other activities. Unfortunately, we will be out of town when your mom's funeral Mass is held at St. Ann, but all of you will be in my prayers.
