Obituary of Robert Emerson Greer III

Robert Emerson Greer III of McLean, VA, passed away suddenly on October 31, 2020 at the age of 62. 

Rob was born October 23, 1958 in Savannah, GA. He grew up in a military household and after graduating from Kennedy High School in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1976, pursued a career in construction and masonry. He married the love of his life LeeAnn in 2013. He was an avid boater, a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and lifelong Redskins fan. Rob passed at the marina surrounded by his closest friends, just a few days after his birthday and a sound thrashing of the Dallas Cowboys by his beloved Washington Football Team.

Rob is survived by his wife, LeeAnn Greer; mother, Barbara Greer; his sisters Suzan Crump (Rick) and Kimberly Hobbs (Tommy); stepdaughters Alex Smith and Lauren Smith (Charlie); niece Gaylen Meltzer (Corey) and nephew David Crump (Keri). He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Greer Jr. 

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, November 6 from 10:00am-11:00am at Advent Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA. Covid-19 restrictions are in place and social distancing guidelines will be followed. A private service for the family is to follow.
