Nancy Ann Kenney, born to Anna N. Kenney and Joseph F. Kenney on November 2, 1950, in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Nancy peacefully passed away on October 7, 2020 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia with family at her side. Nancy was the first girl born to the family after 3 older brothers and was the apple of her father’s eye. She was the mother of Dana M. Kenney (Doug Payne) and Grandmother to Jazmine R. Kenney. Never one to seek the spotlight Nancy, was a behind the scenes worker who was always happy to help her family and friends. Nancy loved doing a variety of things with her vast family and was a regular attendee at family gatherings. She enjoyed decorating her home for the various holidays throughout the year. Nancy was an avid reader! She could most often be found with a book in her hand engrossed and losing all track of time. Nancy was a great cook who was happy to share her culinary talents with her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping and was pleased to share a great deal with anyone who would listen. Nancy was a proud Bishop D.J. O’Connell High School graduate class of 1968. She remained active in her alumni group including being their treasurer.
