Mary Ann Bloodworth of Washington, DC died June 2, 2021 at the age of 80. Born Mary Ann Weaver to Bill and Eloise Weaver, she was raised in Wichita Falls, TX. She graduated from Wichita Falls High School, and was a member of Pi Beta Phi at Texas Tech University. She ultimately graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Economics.
In 1961 she married Louis R. Bloodworth, Jr., also of Wichita Falls, TX. They had one daughter, Mary Lou. They lived in Dallas and Wichita Falls before moving to Washington, DC in 1983. While in Washington, Mary Ann worked for the Congressional offices of Dante Fascell of Florida and Esteban Torres of California. She completed her career at SBC Communications, retiring in 2006.
Mary Ann is predeceased by her parents and her husband; she is survived by her daughter Mary and son in law Chris Metzler, of Washington, DC.
